Nature Adventure
Look for frogs, hidden treasures and animal tracks as we make our way through the landscape playing games and singing. This half-day camp is for the younger crew and focuses on experiencing the magic of nature in a hands-on, fun way. Timeless exploration, storytelling and free play balanced by creative nature-based activities and games. Group participation skills are invisibly woven into the day.
Each one of our sites provides something fun and different. When in the Fairfax woods we focus a tad more on tracking and plants, at China Camp we get some safe beach and water playtime.
This camp is appropriate for first-time as well as experienced campers ages 4½ - 6½ .
In addition to our core curriculum, this camp may include:
Nature awareness practice
Basics of staying safe in the wilderness
Lost proofing
Nature games
Animal tracking
Bird language
Shelter and fort building
Learning about wild edibles in a safe way
Natural dyes and art projects
Hiking hills, creeks, and valleys
Creating nature guides

Times: 9am - 3:00pm Daily

*With our very varied economical situations in the Bay Area, families have differing abilities to pay. We want our programs to serve as many children as possible regardless of financial situation.*
**Rate A** - represents the actual cost of running a program in this area and is comparable with the rates of several local specialty camps. It funds our long-term goals and work.
**Rate B** - covers our basic costs for running this particular program, but it does not cover our organizational costs.
**Rate C** - does not cover the cost of program and is subsidized by Rate A and donations.

What if the session I want is full?: Join the waitlist! Sometimes we’re able to expand capacity (and sometimes people cancel). If your spot in the waitlist opens, you’ll receive an email and then have a limited time reserved to register.
